MEET EMMI!

Emmi is a seasoned nanny and postpartum care professional in Portland, OR. Certified as a Postpartum Doula by Cornerstone Birth and trained as a Newborn Care Specialist by CACHE through a demanding 4000-hour direct care process, Emmi has demonstrated their dedication to ensuring parents and children flourish.

Emmi’s childcare philosophy is influenced heavily by Fred Rogers and Janet Lansbury. Respect for each child and their uniqueness is essential, allowing children choices that empower them to grow and develop independence. Being around the carefree, curious nature of children has inspired Emmi. They have been on an education and advocacy journey for queer and trans gestation and reproductive justice for diverse groups. 

As a Postpartum Doula, Emmi provides ease and peace during the delicate transition from belly to land. They take the classic “village” adage to heart, providing healing support to the whole family through nonjudgmental feeding support, overnight care, newborn care education, assistance with feeding, swaddling and sleep, and more. 

In addition to their extensive care credentials, Emmi is an intuitive Herbalist, crafting locally sourced herbal care products for all, specifically focusing on postpartum bodies. Oregon's natural beauty endlessly inspires them, and they have found a special kinship with Lemon Balm, Calendula, and Juniper Berries.
